w00t. The PC OF DOOM is in da mail...well...it will be before day's end. Newegg was out of the video card I wanted, and ZipZoomFly would've taken 500000000 dollars for it, so I bought it from FuturePowerPC.com. Didn't know who they were, but looked on reseller rating type sites and they had decently good scores. I was amazed that Tiger Direct had such horrible scores. I generally don't have a problem with them. Which is not to say their scores are insanely bad, just worse than most. Anyway, I hope this thing works out.

Yep. Definitely stood in line for an hour for fellow Posse members today. That was fun. Least I weasled breakfast out of them for it. It was to acquire tickets to go to the NC State/Miami game. I acquired said tickets, after standing in said line. What fun.

Anyway, now I am just waiting for my computer to arrive at "the homestead". When it arrives, I will pick it up and do an assemblethon (which all my geek buddies are looking forward to). BYE!

Argh...I made this big long post on my "other blog"...which is somewhatnonexistent. And...I don't feel like writing it all again. So.

String blah=Computer.getMoney();
System.out.println(blah); => got it
public boolean HilariousTimeInClass(Classes mine){
return true;
}
try{
AccountingExam2.take();
}
catch(reallyBadGradeError r){
System.out.println("My T-accounts weren't right...");
}
try{
PsychologyExam2.take();
}
catch(reallyBadGradeError p){
System.out.println("I didn't have the right amount of /"arousal/"");
}
RET

yepyep. Next week's going to suck. Both .take()s are next week, mon, tues. and I have a boatload of stuff to do. Including an "experiment" for the aforementioned Psychology. Anywho. Goodnight.

OOHRAH!
606 Posse had a cookout tonight. Kudos to R's Mom for providing STEAK. That's right suckah! STEAK. FREEKING good steak, too. Steak, potatoes, grilled carrots, and FRESH KrispyKreme doughnuts for dessert. I never knew doughnuts tasted so good.

And I didn't fail the Calc test...just got a D+...so now my average is a C. Straight up C. And my teacher adds 10pts at the end to your total grade. So my grade is a B. B's work. That'll pull my GPA up... Now I just have to hold that grade...

*sigh* Whoda thunk graduating from college was so blithering hard...?

A dude in my suite made South Park characters of all the dudes (all 8 of 'em) in the suite. The likenesses are hilarious. But...why am I the only one with an AK-47...? My roomie gets angel wings and a halo...I get angry eyebrows and an AK-47. Not that this is totally false...but still. There are a few other people that should have weapons in the suite. Another dude is portrayed as smoking a joint...the artist has a scraggly beard--but no joint. Yep...it's insane. My suite has some of the craziest people anywhere. But they're all good guys. Some of 'em require slapping (evil democrats)...but I can get along with and be friends with them all.

Yay! I failed my first math test of the semester! yay!

NOT!

Danggum it. Why does it have to be me. Can I just like...auto-ace all my classes...? Get some rich uncle to donate a couple million under the pretence that I be allowed a degree...? I really don't like math classes...ever. I like them less when I don't understand the class material. The only problem with my teacher...is that she goes REALLY FAST. So I'm still working on understanding the material she wrote five minutes ago...and she's on to another topic. AAAACK!
Anywho.

Today or tomorrow I'm supposed to receive money for the computer of doom. That promises to be fun. After that it should be four days or so, and I'll have my compy!

Well...the computer is still not built. Arr. However! That should be rectified in the very near future...and now it's going to have an ATI X800 Pro 256. That's going to be fun. ATI kinda ran out of numbers. Now they have to do letters. HAHA. And 1G of Corsair RAM, a 19" Samsung LCD, and a Creative SB Audigy 2 Platinum Pro., coupled with Logitech Z680s--which are THX certified. Yes. You may drool. But not on the computer.

Got the Cowboy Bebop OST. S'pretty good. Bit more slow songs than I like. Favorites include: Cosmic Dare and Cat Blues (Mr. Scruff Remix).

Other activities this weekend included watching Last Exile. Not sure what the rating is yet. Tentatively it's a 3.5/5. It's kinda weird and whatnot. A very slow anime (read: sometimes boring), that takes a lot of inference to get the full picture. I never could discern that Claus and Ravey were 15 from the anime itself. They looked...I dunno...12? And Sophia looked like she was 30-something...when she really had to be like...20-something. Very nice art, though...although the sub I watched had a bunch of artifacts. ARR. I hate artifacts. But I'm too cheap to buy it...that might cost money.

Yet another activity was watching part of Planetes...was recommended to me by soopykun. I've only watched one episode so far. Looks good...nice art, pretty random, based in space.... Gonna watch another episode before going to bed.

Oh yah...I'm archiving anime. If you have any anime you want archived (preferably English sub with Japanese audio, in .avi or .ogm format), gimme a hollah. I don't rip DVDs or do anything "illegal" though. If you're an anime company...I do not acquire anime through illegal means.

Yupyup. Break's over. If I knew how to do "inheritance" which is the "i" in "PIE" in "OOP" I might be happier. Now I have to go to my teacher and TA's office hours to get this program straightened out. ARR. And I have a math WA (if you don't go to State, don't bother with what that means) due Tues. *annoyance*. I have another due Monday...but I got it done already...or done enough for government work. I also have a nagging feeling I have some accounting homework due tomorrow...but I can't remember what.

On that note! Goodnight world.

P.S.: For the non-techie...OOP="object-oriented programming". Some examples are C++ and Java. PIE is the thing that sets OOP apart from other languages: P=Polymorphism, I=Inheritance, E=Encapsulation.

Polymorphism: The ability for a program to perform multiple tasks based on the type of the object being referenced.
Inheritance: The ability of an object to take methods (subroutines) from a class it "extends".
Encapsulation: The formation into a coherent object of each idea or concept.
