There are some advantages to having an obscenely fast computer--

Namely, Java programs compile INSTANTANEOUSLY. Really lets you get immediate feedback and whatnot. Good stuff.

That was the random thought for the night. The other one is...if there were only careers in philosophy...

It's official! College is not my deal. It's fun and all...but this is not how I operate. I can't handle the sress and the courses. If it was one-on-one with teachers that know me personally, or even in a business environment, I'd do better. I dunno. Maybe since my peers have already had this experience, they know how to react better. Not having had this experience before, I'm totally lost and stressed out. I dunno what to do. I'll get back to you. BYE.

Hmmmm...random thought. How about we ship all the Democrats over to Iraq? And keep them there. Then we'll see how much they like the conditions in Iraq. They might stop complaining about the deficit, and start asking that more money be put into improving the situation!

Not that deficits are an especially good thing, but they are rather necessary at times...especially WARTIME, maybe? Just b/c the War on Terror isn't WWII with massive mobilization of the entire civilian workforce, doesn't mean it's not as important.

Think about it.

woot. It is now the end of the world. I got my math test back today. haven't looked at the grade. Don't want to. I will eventually. Probably find out accidentally. I desperately need the grade on my last test to be awesomely good. Doesn't look like it's going to be. I'm totally exhausted with school. Maybe I'm destined for humanities whether I wanna be or not. ACK. I hate the humanities. They're so old and dusty feeling. I don't have any real joy when I do them...I just can do them well, because they make lots of sense to me. ECE exam went well (I think) tonight, so maybe I can get around Calc2 somehow. I seriously just suck at math. I could master it, but it takes a long time for me, and college math courses are not made for people that aren't good at math. *sigh*

As for other matters...

I TYPE FROM THE COMPUTER OF DOOM!!! Fun stuff. Runs everything I've thrown at it perfectly. And I throw lots of stuff...mwahahahaha. It scored somewhere in the high 3900s on 3D Mark '05. My websites now serve with impunity, and I've had my five-odd servers running non-stop for about 2 days now.

THE ELECTION!
Yay for Bushie! The school newspaper here is complaining about how "Republican voters are largely uninformed...". Yeah. Right. Like you're SOOOO informed about what MATTERS to me. Maybe your little survey was on the order of "how much has petroleum gone up in price since 2000?". I don't know. I don't really care. I agree it'd be nice if it was less expensive, but I don't think it amounts to a hill of beans in the end.
Gay rights? Who needs 'em? Ok...yes...I can name contributions that homosexuals have made to society (heck...contributions to computer science, even). However, I think homosexuality is a sin, and that homosexuals need psychological treatment (because their behavior is not displaying Darwinistic principles of survival & because it is portrayed as a sin in the Bible [aha! can't get me now! A humanistic and a spiritual approach!]). So. If a person is a homosexual, they obviously need lots of treatment...maybe they had a bad childhood or summat. But still. So if we got all the homosexuals "straightened out", and then had them contribute to society, they'd be much more productive people, having had their identity resolved! To this end, I think we shouldn't support psychological difficulties in the population, by allowing two severely psychologically impaired people to be "married". Therefore, no psychologically impaired marriage!
The War on Terror? WE KNOW IRAQ WAS NOT DIRECTLY TIED W/911! DON'T KEEP TELLING ME THAT REPUBLICANS DON'T KNOW THIS. We've known it for a LONG TIME, and yes, we STILL support it. And now you're going to whine about the cost and the lives and blahblahblah. So let's start from the top, shall we?1. Value: Iraq will be a valuable ally, being in the center of the Middle East. We will be able to have a strong, solid democracy in the middle of a very turbulent area. Also, it will not support terrorism. Saddam Hussein had no direct ties with 9/11. That doesn't mean he didn't have ties with Al-Qaeda. In fact, Hussein is an old fogey when it comes to supporting/aiding/abetting international acts of terror--especially in war-torn Israel--and helping Al-Qaeda members with injuries with the ministrations of his own personal doctor.2. Cost: War costs money. Always has, always will. We can spend the money now, eradicating terrorists, or we can spend the money later, rebuilding from terrorist attacks--which leads to the next point.
3. Lives: Every American soldier lost should be mourned. However, they were killed in the line of duty. Duty, Honor, Country. Let us not despoil their honor by being contentious about a cause they died to protect. I could quote Civil War stats for the Battle of Bull Run...but you wouldn't understand.

Yep. I'm a hard-right-winger. We've got a hard-left-winger across the hall to balance me out. He claims to be "moderate"...as all Democrats do...but he's not. We mutually decided on election day that our votes specifically cancelled each other out. Heheh. We have fun when we're not talking politics...

Hope this helps...
